We are pleased to announce that this morning Hble. Conseller d'Empresa i Treball, Mr. RogerTorrent has presented through a press conference the campaign to encourage tourist demand L'Estalviatge, which is the result of repeated requests made by ACAVe and in which the Association has participated very actively in all its preparation and implementation.

This campaign will focus on encouraging reservations for tourist getaways in Catalonia before and after Easter through a system of tourist vouchers with discounts among the catalan public.

Specifically, combined trips contracted through a travel agency adhering to the campaign that include an overnight stay in an associated tourist accommodation, with at least one of the following types of travel services:

• Passenger transport
• Cars rental or other motor vehicles
• Other tourist services (for example, activities, tickets or excursions with a guide).

The subsidy will consist of an amount equivalent to 50% of the invoice presented for the combined trip that is the object of aid, including VAT, with a maximum of 150 euros.

The campaign will start on March 1 and will last until April (except Easter from April 9 to 18) until the budget is exhausted. The management will be carried out with the participation of the Consell General de Cambres, as a collaborating entity. This action has an investment of 1.500.000 euros and it is expected to reach a minimum of 10.000 reservations.

With the L'Estalviatge campaign we want to help the catalan tourism sector to strengthen its activity and encourage the movement and tourist flows of catalans in months of low occupancy before and after Easter. It is about helping to extend the season, labor contracts and the economic activity of the sector, in addition to promoting the seasonal adjustment of tourism.
